Eric Leininger is a registered Patent Agent and the founder/owner of Leininger Patents. Eric holds a PhD in Neurobiology from Tulane University and is a USPTO registered patent agent. He has expertise in biology and more than 15 years of software engineering experience in a variety of programming languages.
In addition to being a Patent Agent, Eric also has the unique perspective of being both an entrepreneur and an inventor. While developing his patent practice, Eric conceived of the idea of assisted patent drafting in order to increase the efficiency of the patent preparation process. Using his software engineering experience, Eric produced an early prototype of the assisted invention disclosure product that eventually led to the formation of PatentDive, a research company focused on providing equitable access to the patent process by increasing the quality and reducing the time/cost of invention disclosures.
